In the final theatrical version of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, 38 minutes were cut from the film. There were no deleted scenes on Blu-Ray sets. A lot of the scenes below were mentioned in interviews or seen in trailers.
Mosasaurus attacking a Whale and Ships
In an alternative opening scene, the Mosasaurus would be seen hunting a whale pod which was also being targeted by a whaling ship. One of the whales is harpooned. The Mosasaurus grabs the harpooned whale and drags the ship with it. You can see concept art below of this scene:
Mosasaurus Eye Close Up
During the submarine scene at the beginning of the film, the pilot of the submarine was going to see the Mosasaurus watching him and the Tech Operator before eating them.
Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Courtroom
In various trailers, Ian Malcolm said in the courtroom, “Here am I, talking about dinosaurs again”, and “Life finds a way.”
Maisie and the Sanctuary Island Diorama
There is a scene in a Behind the Scenes video where Maisie plays with the Sanctuary Island diorama, and Eli Mills is later seen talking to her.
Peloroplites in the Plains
In the trailers and the theatrical version, there is a shot of a dead Peloroplites. This was removed in the home video releases.
Alternate Owen Tracking Blue
During this scene, a skeleton of a crocodilian is shown.
Dead Stegosaurus
A dead Stegosaurus was seen when Owen and the group were tracking Blue.
Flickering and Exploding Light
Franklin Webb taps a faulty lightbulb that keeps flickering on and off, which then explodes and scares him. Claire then tells him to stop fixing things.
Baryonyx carried away by Helicopter
After Owen, Claire and Franklin wash up on the beach, in the trailer, they watch a helicopter carrying a Baryonyx. In the final film, the helicopter is carrying the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Zia Rodriguez’s Sexuality
In an interview with AOL, actress Daniella Pineda, who portrays Zia, revealed that she shot a scene in which she tells Owen Grady she doesn’t date men. Zia and Owen were inside a military vehicle with a group of mercenaries when her character talks about her sexuality. The rest of that scene remains in the final film, but Pineda describes the part that was cut:
I look at Chris and I’m like: ‘Yeah, square jaw, good bone structure, tall, muscles. I don’t date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I’d do it.’ I love that I’m looking at Chris Pratt, the hottest guy in the world, and I’m like, ‘It would gross me out, but I guess I would do it!’ It was also cool, because it was a little insight into my character. But they cut it.
Director J.A. Bayona and co-writer/producer Colin Trevorrow were behind the choice to have Rodriguez reveal her sexual orientation but they also made the call to cut the scene, due to run time.
Mills Showing Eversoll the Indoraptor
After Maisie is scared by the Indoraptor, the Indoraptor is seen playing with a skull in its cage, indicating that Mills has been feeding the Indorpator humans.
Anton Attacks Owen
During the chaos in the auction, Owen was attacked by Anton but is then attacked by the Stygimoloch.
Alternate Indoraptor Killing Guard Scene
Instead of Mills and two guards stopping Owen, Claire, and Maisie, it was originally going to be one guard.
Iris and the Indoraptor
At one point, Iris Caroll would encounter the Indoraptor in Lockwood Manor. You can see the behind-the-scenes still below showing a crew member with the dummy Indoraptor.
Claire finds the gun
Claire finds the SIG SG 552 gun with laser attachment in Maisie’s bedroom. She uses it on the roof in an attempt to kill the Indoraptor.
White Indoraptor
Early in production, a white Indoraptor was planned. You can view concept art of the two Indoraptors created by Jama Jurabaev.
