Big news. Universal has announced that the Jurassic World sequel will be coming out June 22, 2018 with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning to the franchise. A short new featurette featuring Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow talking about Jurassic World has surfaced. There’s some new behind-the-scenes footage and I think the final shot of Chris Pratt’s character hiding from the Indominus Rex is new too.
It appears that Colin Trevorrow will definitely not be directing any sequels to Jurassic World. While doing the press tours for Jurassic World, Trevorrow told BadTaste.it that he will be involved in potential sequels but won’t be the director.

The length of Jurassic World has been confirmed by Colin Trevorrow to be 124 minutes with the credits. In comparison, Jurassic Park was 127 minutes, The Lost World was 129 minutes and Jurassic Park 3 was 93 minutes. A bit of relief, I think. I always felt Jurassic Park 3 was way too short when I watched it.
